After Midnight Rain dissolved, I soon joined a seven-piece R & B/Soul group called The Deltones.  We were a solid band, a steady working band that played almost every nightclub and festival in the Memphis area.  We maintained a large repertoire of classic R & B /Soul hits and always kept the dance floor jammin'.  I remember a really cool gig was playing for the cast and crew of the movie "A Time To Kill" in Jackson, MS.

During this period I played with two terrific drummers:  Joel Williams and Bobby Edwards.  Other members of the group included:  Gary Wimberly-Guitar, Mike Cleveland-Bass, Mike Russell-Keys, Doug Green-Trumpet and Tom Link-Sax.

I also worked with several sound engineers.  For the most part, Hank Widdopp and Steve Jacobson were our steady men.  Unfortunately this year, Steve Jacobson passed away.  I am so grateful that I got to see him one last time before he suddenly left us.  Steve will surely be missed!

I worked with The Deltones for a few years but made the decision to leave the group to pursue other things.  I had enrolled at The University of Memphis and was writing new tunes of my own.  I wanted to put together my own group that was more focused on "original" music and recording.  I feel fortunate to have worked with them for several years and always miss seeing the guys.

I have included photos of the band but unfortunately I have NO audio or video footage.  If any of you guys in the band stumble across some ....."cough it up"!  If anyone else out there has anything I can add to the archive I'd sure appreciate it!
